The ultra-smooth-clear-sounding 30yrs old Japanese made Boss DS-1 vs a near-uncontrollable-noisemaker Z-Vex Fuzz Factory vs super-simple Nose Pedals reverser/switcher.

New boring pedals day!!

These Boss pedals are everything but boring/normal. I hooked them up with an EHX, a Flashback x4 (has since been sold off!) and a Rat 2 for an improv ambient session. Check-out the sounds here.

Sadly, happily, strangely, I seem to be known for using a lot of effects pedals. For me, they’re like colors on a palette, and they’re not a gimmick.
